Prom Night Information and Changes
Hello students, I am pleased to announce to you that there would be a Prom Night this year, and it is the first in our school’s history. This is a student initiated activity and it is fully organized by me and my committee. Your support would be greatly appreciated, as this event has been painstakingly organized for you. For your information the location has been changed, from Orchard Hotel to Raffles Town Club. We find that Raffles Town Club gives us better value at the same price, so as for you guys to benefit, we chose Raffles Town Club.

The cost of this event would be S$60. 5% of the cost would be used to cover a minimal amount of entertainment costs. After doing some math, the dinner would cost you guys $55.50, and the supplementary amount of $4.50 would be used to cover other costing as shown in the attached document.
Details
The event would be on 4 December 2006(Monday). Guests are expected to arrive at 6.30pm. Compared to other schools’ Prom Night at $70-$100, ours is considered low. There would be an 8-course dinner and performances, including a pageant. YES, a pageant like Ms Universe, however ours would be called Mr and Ms Ngee Ann.
Seating and payment
Those who have not paid the full amount for the prom please do so ASAP, and those who have yet to pay their instalments, please do so too as it is very urgent. Non-halal food and halal food cannot be served at the same table. For those tables with guests taking both halal and non-halal food, please make the necessary changes. In other words, please group yourself according to the food you can take. A list would be attached.
Dress Code and Theme
The theme would be, ‘A Drop of Gold’. The dress code for the night would be formal and glamorous. Imagine yourself like a superstar/actor/businessman, and dress up for this event. A normal long sleeved shirt and business trousers would be good enough for guys, and a suit will be an incentive to your looks. For ladies, a dress will be good enough, however to turn heads, you can get an evening gown. Those who are interested to rent suits and gowns can approach me.
Guests who are interested to stay at the venue after the event, can book rooms at a cheaper price. Please indicate how many of you are staying over. For more details please approach me.
